We know You want to help

There are Christian counselors out there who strongly desire to help those in need of treatment but cannot afford the counseling. Unfortunately, as difficult as it is to admit, this counselor also has the need to put the proverbial, “food on the table,” for him or herself and their family. This makes it nearly impossible for the counselor to invest their time and efforts on a regular pro bono basis and still meet their own financial obligations.

At the same time, other Christian counselors have attempted to provide pro bono or discounted services to help those in need, only to be taken advantage of by other people or organizations. These counselors have now made the difficult decision to only see people with the resources necessary to pay their standard hourly rate.

It is in the gap between these two Christian counselors that The Lyndon Foundation stands. We offer support to both situations, allowing counselors to provide the much-needed treatment to an individual or individuals who cannot afford to pay for their professional services.

two ways we can support you

Through our grant process, we allow pre-approved Christian counselors to apply for financial support that will allow them to help the people who need it most. The Lyndon Foundation’s grants are specifically dedicated to counseling opportunities for individuals who need clinically based, Christian counseling but are unable to afford this type of professional help.

01. Counseling Grants

There are times when Christian counselors need more than just financial support. Often, they require fellowship with like-minded brothers and sisters in Christ who can provide various forms of assistance, whether that be continuing education, wisdom from experience, ideas related to similar circumstances, or, more simply, but just as importantly, a listening and empathetic ear. Through building a guild of like-minded Christian counselors the Lyndon Foundation is committed to providing these types of services.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

As we have just launched The Lyndon Foundation we do not have all the resources we hope to have in the coming months and years so, it is very likely that the demand for aid will far exceed the supply in our first year and, most likely, the need will always surpass the resources. However, whether it is today, or in the future, please be assured that your request for aid will be carefully, prayerfully, and compassionately considered with the goal of making sure those requests representing the greatest need are our priority.

02. Christian Counseling partnership

Support for students

In addition to providing support for professional, clinical Christian counselors currently serving in the Kansas City area, The Lyndon Foundation is also dedicated to providing financial support for those individuals currently pursuing their Master’s degree in Christian counseling and serving the Kansas City metro population.
